Part of buying in Florida is weathering the storm – quite literally. We had owned HoJo South for barely a month when it was clear Debby was headed our way, which was also the day we were leaving. There were many emotions from – “well that was fun” to “everything will be fine”!
We watched from afar on our Ring doorbells (along with a lot of news!) driving back to Michigan. We are happy to report that we received about 24 hours of rain, but HoJo remained dry. A family friend came by this week to confirm that all was well. We are happy to remain unscathed but are cognizant of what others had to endure riding out and in the aftermath of this storm. ❤ We are thinking of you.
